MFE SEEKING NEW BOARD MEMBERS

The Medway Foundation for Education (MFE), chartered to improve the quality of education in the town’s public schools, is seeking new board members to serve 2-year terms. According to Rich Kahn, MFE President, citizens are needed who have strong leadership skills and a desire to help organize events that support general fundraising activities. Board members are required to attend quarterly meetings in March, June, September and December.

Once again MFE will be holding its annual Trivia Bee on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Memorial School Cafeteria. The Trivia Bee has always been one of our most significant and profitable fund raising events, and always proves to be a good time for all participants and observers. You may wish to recognize a teacher or administrator after a special event, at the end of the school year, at holidays, or just to say "thank you" for their daily impact. MFE is pleased to announce the awards which were disseminated to fill grant requests for the 2011-2012 school year. Each year, MFE reviews these grant requests and distributes thousands of dollars to support programs, events and materials that align with our objective of funding innovative, educational projects within Medway’s public schools.
