Late Registration

Medway Public Schools’ late registration for the 2015-2016 school year for students who have not previously registered in the school system will be held on August 25, 26, and 27, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Medway Middle School, Burke/Memorial Elementary School, and McGovern Elementary School.  Late registration at the Medway High School will be August 25, 26, and 27 only.  Parents may call or come into the office to schedule an appointment with a counselor and are encouraged to pick up a new student registration packet at the main office in advance.

Parents of middle school students, grades 5-8, who have not previously registered their child, should register at Medway Middle School, 45 Holliston Street.

Due to course selections, students in grades 5-12 should accompany their parents to registration.

Parents of elementary students who have not previously registered their child, should register at the following schools:  for students in grades Pre-K, K and 1, register at McGovern Elementary School, 9 Lovering Street; for students in grades 2, 3, and 4, register at the Burke/Memorial Elementary School, 16 Cassidy Lane.

Parents registering children are required to bring proof of residence, birth certificate, official health record (which must include a record of immunizations, lead poisoning screening and a recent physical examination), and records from the previous school.  As mandated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, all students entering grade 7 in September must have a current copy of a physician-signed physical examination dated within thirteen months.  The examination form must also include the updated required following immunizations:  Td or Tdap Tetanus Booster; documentation of chicken pox or Varicella Vaccine.  It is also recommended that children younger than 13 years old have a repeat Varicella Vaccine and that all students receive the Meningicoccal Vaccine.

It will not be necessary for students entering grades K-4 to be present at registration.  To be eligible to enter kindergarten, a child must reach the age of 5 years on or before August 31, 2015.
