Superintendent’s Chat: Next Generation MCAS, Monday March 20, 2017
We look forward to welcoming our community for an overview of the next generation state assessment during a Superintendent’s Chat on Monday, March 20 at 6:30 PM in the Presentation Room at Medway Middle School. This presentation will highlight the differences between the prior and new assessment and how we, as a district, will use the information from the assessment to support our ongoing work.
McGovern Elementary Principal Search
We have recently been notified that Mrs. Yanuskiewicz, principal of the McGovern Elementary School, will be retiring effective at the end of the school year. We are most thankful for the years of service that “Mrs. Y.” has dedicated to the Medway Public Schools and, specifically to our youngest learners at the McGovern School. We hope that, in the coming months, many of our families will take the opportunity to thank “Mrs. Y.” for all that she has brought to our community.
Over the last couple of days, we conducted interviews with very qualified candidates from around the region who would like to become the next principal of McGovern Elementary School. Next week, we are inviting two-three of these candidates back to Medway to engage further with our community. Site visits will place on Tuesday, March 21 and Thursday, March 23 (and Monday, March 27 if needed). We had previously published these dates as March 22 and March 23 but had to change the first date due to an internal conflict. We hope that families who are available will join us for a dedicated meet and greet/question and answer session that has been scheduled with each candidate. Your input is essential to this process.
