Changes to Physical Requirements?

Important Change To Physical Requirements Effective immediately, all physicals for interscholastic sports will be valid for 13 months to the day. For example, if your son/daughter has a physical dated September 1, 2011 it will be valid until October 1, 2012. On October 2 they will no longer be eligible unless the physical is updated prior to the October 1 date. This is an important change to the current rule as someone can become in-eligible during the season of play. Please be cognizant of the physical expiration date and plan accordingly. It is our understanding that most HMO’s only cover 1 physical per 12 month period so that only leaves 1 month to get an appointment for the new physical. The MIAA understands this as well and extended the limits to 13 months to allow for some flexibility.
