Student Drop-off and Pick-up

The WEB Orientation Day is an exciting day that results in high traffic volume at the middle school.  The mailing that will go home next week will include a map illustrating the drop-off and pick-up procedures at the middle school.  We ask that when dropping off  and picking up your child on this day, that you follow these procedures. It is not necessary to get out of your car, when picking up or dropping off, we will have WEB leaders and faculty outside to assist new students.  If you do choose to park and meet your child on the front walkway, we ask that you park your car in designated spots in the gravel lot or superintendent’s lot.

Parent Coffee Hours

As has been our practice, we will again host regular meetings to provide families the opportunity to meet with the middle school administrative team.  During these informal meetings we will provide updates on activities at the middle school and answer questions that you might have.  Our first Parent Coffee is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 10:45 am-11:45 am in the middle school auditorium (please enter door 3).  This Parent Coffee Hour is geared for incoming grade 5 parents.   We will briefly review the presentation that was given in May, 2017 and answer questions that you may have about the transition to middle school.

Making a Makerspace- Call for Donations!

The Makerspace movement is coming to Medway Middle School!  The development of a school based Makerspace allows for an engaging and student centered learning environment.  Traditionally, the library is a location that supports the learning process taking place in the entire school. It does this by providing access to resources of different kinds, be it various texts, digital resources, technology, or collaborative learning spaces. The library is and should be the hub of student learning where all students and faculty can go. The addition of a makerspace is simply an extension of what the library already provides.

We are accepting donations for the following supplies to outfit our Makerspace.

  • Legos

  • Cardboard

  • Crafting sticks

  • Straws

  • Rubber bands

  • Batteries

  • Toothpicks

  • Duct tape

  • Glue guns and sticks,

  • Play Doh

  • K’Nex,

  • Lincoln Logs

  • Keva planks

  • Electronics

Any supplies can be dropped off at the Middle School main office, care of Ryan Camire.

Medway Public Library Summer Lunch Program

Medway Library would like to nourish both bodies and minds during the summer break. As part of a pilot program, every Thursday, at 11:45 am, from July 13th through August 24th the library will have story time for young children and drop-in craft and STEM activities for older children and pre-teens.  A nutritious lunch, donated by a local business or community organization will also be served.  All children and their caregivers are invited.
