The hat reads, WE THE PEOPLE - for Independence Day. We won't tell you the mistake, but we challenge you to become detectives to uncover the mistake Major League Baseball made. • Attention all students and staff. The PBIS Team’s theme for the month of February is Random Acts of Kindness. A Random Act of Kindness is an unplanned action designed to offer kindness towards the outside world. The phrase "practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty" was written by Anne Herbert on a placemat in Sausalito, California in 1982. In 1993, Anne Herbert's book Random Kindness and Senseless Acts of Beauty was published. The book spoke about true stories of acts of kindness.  Every small interaction with someone is an opportunity to have a positive impact on both of your lives. When you look, you'll find opportunities to perform random acts of kindness. Hold open a door, help an elderly neighbor, help a classmate study, even a the simple act of giving a compliment can make someone's entire day. Don’t just think it. Say it!   Kindness is free...sprinkle it everywhere!

  • Starting next Tuesday, September 5, there will be a late bus leaving at 3:15 on all Tuesdays and Thursdays for the rest of the school year. Students must make arrangements with a teacher in advance in order to stay with a teacher. The only time you do not need to make arrangements in advance is if you stay in the library until 3:00. Students taking the late bus must get a late bus pass from the teacher that they are staying with and present it to the bus driver as they board the bus. If a teacher releases you before 3:10 then you must gather in the front lobby until the 3:10 bell sounds. At that time you would walk to the Kelley St. side of the building to board the bus there. Students staying after school must be with an adult and not roaming the halls. This is a great opportunity for you to spend some extra time with a teacher or in one of the other many activities that will be announced in the coming weeks.
  • Do you want to get involved here at MMS? Do you want to help organize school-wide events and activities? Then sign up for Student Council! All grades and all students welcome. See your homeroom teacher for an application! Turn in completed applications to the Student Council box in the main office by Friday, September 22nd. Any questions please see Miss Keenan, Mrs. Kelley, or Ms. Ladouceur.
