Since its inception in September of 1988,
the Middle School has successfully offered a
challenging, inspiring educational program
for the pre- and young adolescents of
Medway. While the configuration of the
school has gone through changes over the
years, the commitment of the administration
and staff to servicing the educational,
emotional, and social needs of this unique
age group has never wavered. The Middle
School programs strive to develop the
transescent youngster’s capabilities to the
fullest potential by recognizing and
integrating the student’s physical,
intellectual, social and emotional growth.
The programs offered encourage the
development of sensitivity toward human
relationships and respect for the abilities,
values and attitudes of others.
The mission of the Middle School reflects
the needs of the children. The staff is
committed to fostering opportunities for
success by developing independent learners
through self-motivation, self discipline,
and acceptance of responsibility. Students
are encouraged to develop thinking skills
that enable then to solve problems in life
situations. Recognizing that the family unit
is a major factor in the child’s development
and in the academic success of the child,
the administration and staff encourage
continual cooperation between home and
school. |
