Grades 1 and 2
Drop-off and Pick-Up
McGovern School’s parking lot has been
reconstructed and will have a new drop-off
and pick-up pattern consisting of three
lanes. Vehicles will now be allowed to enter
the school’s driveway to drop off children
in the morning and pick them up in the
afternoon.
The procedure for cars will be as
follows:
- Enter the McGovern School driveway
by staying in the right hand lane.
- At the top of the driveway, bear
right into the faculty parking lot.
- Proceed to the end and turn left
into the student drop-off and pick-up
lane.
- Drop your child off or pick him/her
up in the designated area.
- Proceed immediately to the exit lane
to leave the complex.
Important Notes:
- Do not drop-off your child at the
school before 8:45 AM. There will be no
supervision for the children prior to
this time.
- At no time should vehicles be parked
or left unattended in the pick-up and
drop-off lane.
- No vehicles are allowed in the
circle area in front of the building
during the drop-off and pick-up period.
- Buses only will be utilizing the
middle lane in the driveway. Other
vehicles will be restricted to the
outside enter and exit lanes.
- Do not drop off or pick-up your
child in the faculty parking area as
this may pose a safety issue.
- Pick-up and drop-off is restricted
to the designated areas.

| Middle School |
Drop-off and Pick-up:
- Enter the access road on the south
side of the school and use the gravel
parking lot or enter the main parking
area by the old tennis courts and follow
the designated route as outlined by the
orange cones. Please stay to the left.
When exiting the facility, yield to any
buses exiting at the same time and turn
to the right or left depending upon your
destination.
- Due to Police Department budget
cuts, there may be no crossing guard on
duty on Holliston Street at the school
bus entrance (near the front office and
bell). Students should walk down to the
crossing guard on duty at the middle
school exit for school buses and cars.
- No cars will be allowed in the front
entrance circle (bus loading area)
between 7:00 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.
- Kelley Street may not be used as a
drop-off and pick-up area for Middle
School students.

| Burke /Memorial School |

Pre-kindergarten
and Kindergarten
Drop-off and Pick-up:
Please park in the rear of the Burke School
or the visitor parking for the Memorial
School. Do not park in spaces marked,
“Reserved Parking.”
ATTENTION: Do not park in
front of the Burke School on Cassidy Lane.
This is not a parking area.
Grades 3 and 4
Drop-off and Pick-up:
- The Burke/Memorial School Complex
drop-off, pick-up, and parking is set up
in three sections. The first section is
visitor parking. The second section is
drop-off and pick-up. The third section
is for school bus use only. Do not park
in spaces marked, “Reserved Parking.”
- Enter the second section and pull to
the right or the left and drop-off your
child. A crossing guard will be there to
ensure the safety of the children.
- Do not drop your child at school
before 8:10 a.m.; there is no adult
supervision prior to this time.
- Attention: Please do
not call your child across the driveway
in between the cars and buses. All
children that are being picked up must
use the crosswalk.
- Parent Reminder: Parents are role
models to all the children; please use
the crosswalk to help set an example for
the children.
- The third section (closest to the
school) is for BUSES ONLY. At NO time
should any parent drop-off, pick-up or
park in this area.

Drop-off and Pick-up:
- Student parking will be the first
and second driveways on the right as you
enter the school grounds.
- Faculty, administration, and visitor
parking will be the third right.
- All student drop-offs and pick-ups
will proceed straight; students will be
dropped off and picked-up in front of
the school. Please continue as far
around the circle as possible before
stopping to drop-off students. Parents
will then continue around the circle and
exit the school grounds.
- Please remember not to block the
parking lot entrances if you are waiting
to drop-off or pick-up your child.
- BUSES ONLY will take a left and have
a separate pick-up and drop-off area.
Please yield to buses as they are
exiting the school grounds.
