The Medway School Committee undertook a multi-year review of all the policies of the Medway Public Schools, which concluded in May 2021.  In partnership with the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC), the School Committee revised and approved an expanded policy manual to serve as a comprehensive resource for the district that reflects current best practices and legal guidelines.

A FOUNDATIONS AND BASIC COMMITMENTS Policies relating to the district's legal role in providing public education and the underlying principals on which the district operates.
B BOARD GOVERNANCE & OPERATIONS Policies relating to the School Board - how it is elected, organized, how it conducts its meetings and its operating procedures.
C GENERAL SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION Policies relating to school district management, administrative structure, school building and department administration; personnel policies pertaining to the superintendent.
D FISCAL MANAGEMENT Policies relating to district fiscal affairs and the management of district funds.
E SUPPORT SERVICES Policies relating to non-instructional services and programs such as safety, buildings, transportation and food services.
F FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT Policies relating to school construction and facilities renovations and planning.
G PERSONNEL Policies relating to personnel on topics of all employees, including staff development, personnel records, and evaluations.
H NEGOTIATIONS Policies relating to negotiating with staff units recognized by the school board.
I INSTRUCTION Policies relating to instructional programs, activities, instructional resources, and academic achievement.
J STUDENTS Policies relating to students: admission, attendance, rights and responsibilities, conduct, and health and welfare services.
K COMMUNITY RELATIONS Policies concerning relations with the general public and with other community and public agencies.
L EDUCATION AGENCY RELATIONS Policies pertaining to relations with other districts, including non-public schools.
