An Invitation to Participate in the Superintendent Search Forums
Dear Medway Parents and Community Members,
As most people in the community are aware, the Medway School Committee has begun the selection process for choosing our new Superintendent of Schools. At its October 15, 2015 meeting, the committee voted unanimously to move forward with the candidacy of Dr. Pires for the position of superintendent of schools. To that end, the Medway School Committee has engaged the services of the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to assist in this important task.
Dr. Carolyn Burke, a search consultant with NESDEC, will be conducting forums to seek parent and community input. For the school committee an integral part of the selection process involves parent, staff and community participation in forums. The forums are designed to obtain input from participants on what we, as school committee members, should consider when we make this most important decision for our district. Dr. Pires will be available at all community forums to answer your questions and to speak to his vision for our district. The forums will provide an opportunity for participants to identify immediate tasks on which the new superintendent should concentrate. Each forum will last between 60-90 minutes and you are invited to attend whichever session you wish.
The upcoming community forums are:
Session II: Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at Medway Middle School, School Committee/Presentation Room
Session III: Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Medway High School Library
For all those interested in attending, please contact Carol Kopec at email@example.com or 508-533-3222, ext. 3157 to register for one of the sessions. You may also register for your seat electronically by clicking this link.
We, the Medway School Committee, and NESDEC hope that many parents and community members will be able to participate.
